Outward Bound Canada We're excited to announce that Sierra Designs Canada and Outward Bound Canada have formed a strategic partnership to co-market our unique brands across Canada. Over the next few years, OBC instructors will test Sierra Designs products on trail as part of our desire to design products for real-world conditions. Who better to do that than OBC and its students? Outward Bound Canada is a not-for-profit charitable educational organization and an inspected Independent School. An Outward Bound expedition is more than just canoeing, kayaking and mountaineering. It's an adventure in the classic sense of the word. It's about dealing with the unknown. It's about meeting challenges. And it's about learning. Learning about yourself, about others, about the environment, and most of all, about your potential. Expedition Africa Expedition Africa is designed to actively engage Canadian school-aged students, and their teachers and families about the Continent of Africa, its opportunities, its challenges and its peoples. Through the innovative use of advanced technology, these individuals will better understand the realities and challenges facing groups of people and their communities in developing African countries. This 'reality learning' project will reach millions of people including Ontario students, parents, the public and an audience outside of Canada through a broad media presence and through the World Wide Web. Expedition Africa is taking place from September 2006 to January 2007. The expedition team is travelling to nine African countries, starting in Cairo, Egypt, and ending in Cape Town, South Africa.
